Verse 41, Chapter 29, of the Quran mentions: “…the spider that makes a house…” … ٱلْعَنكَبُوتِ ٱتَّخَذَتْ بَيْتًا…
In Arabic, the word spider is in the singular and the verb gender is feminine, which unmistakably indicates that it is the female spider that builds the web for housing.
According to the modern science of insects, it is indeed the adult female spider that builds for housing purposes a web typical for the given spider species. Male spiders, on the other hand, build a special sperm web in which they place their sperm which they load into their special appendages for depositing in the female.
How could any human in the 7th century CE have known that the web housing of spiders is built by the female of the species? So, how can the Quran be of other than divine origin?
