The mystical number 7 is first mentioned in the Quran in Verse 29, Chapter 2: “…and He turned to the sky and fashioned it into seven heavens…” … ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰٓ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَسَوَّىٰهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَمَـٰوَٰتٍ ۚ…
It is last mentioned in Verse 12, Chapter 78: “And We have built above you seven firmaments” وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًا شِدَادًا
Because of grammatical Arabic parsing in the verses concerned, the word 7 is formed by 3 letters (sīn, bāʾ, ʿyn) in the verse in which it first occurs and by 4 letters (sīn, bāʾ, ʿyn, alif) in the verse in which it last occurs, the total number of letters being 7.
Chapter 78 is the 77th chapter starting with Chapter 2, where the number 7 is first mentioned, and 77 is a multiple of 7.
The number of verses from the first verse in which 7 occurs until the last verse in which 7 occurs is 5649 = 7´807, a multiple of 7.
The verse in which 7 first occurs is preceded in Chapter 2 by 28 verses, a multiple of 7. The verse in which 7 last occurs is also followed in Chapter 78 by 28 verses.
Are all these coincidental?
